Monmouth Meeting Template

Next Monmouth meeting at the Rockfield Community Centre, Cornwallis Way, Overmonnow, Monmouth:

Friday .........

From 13.00 - 15.00 (with time to play afterwards if warm enough).

For location: (have updated the tinyurl as the old one seemed to have run out).

(Head out of Monmouth towards Skenfrith on the Rockfield Road. After passing the Bridges Community Centre at the next mini-roundabout, take a L into Watery Lane and follow the signs for the Rockfield Community Centre from then on through a newish housing estate.)

Otherwise usual arts, crafts, sports and fun and games.

Waterpolo and hip hop dance lesson at the Leisure Centre afterwards...we usually fill in the gap either in a cafe or the library.

General details about local meetings and groups can be found here:

The best way to find out the dates of meetings and any other ad hoc stuff would be to join the various local email lists. The best ones for Monmouth would probably be the SWHEN, Hereford and Glos lists. Details of how to do this are included in the above link. Do let me
know if you have a problem joining these.

As regards curricula, I've included a list below of just a few of the free websites sites that we've found useful over the years:

Saturday, 8 April 2006

The easiest way to keeping up to date with local Home Ed meetings is to join the local Home Education e-mail lists.

The relevant lists for your area are likely to be:

HerefordshireHE-subscribe@yahoogroups.com (for Herefordshire area).

gloshomeeducators-subscribe@yahoogroups.com (for Glos area...run by Rob and Fiona Brookes)

SWHEN-subscribe@yahoogroups.com (for Monmouth/Newport/Forest areas)

worcestershirehome-ed-subscribe@yahoogroups.com (For Evesham, Blackwell, Malvern, Worcester areas.)

It does make life very easy if you can access the information this way,
as meetings do have a habit of changing dates/times and even venue.

Below is a list of meetings around the area...(posted in the Glos HE local
list files section.) Do contact me, if you want any further info on any of them,
(though Katrina M is definitely the one to contact re Hereford meeting.)
